Short version: your files never leave your device, and we don't collect personal data.
Barecopy runs entirely in your browser. Files you drop on the page are read and processed locally by JavaScript. They are never transmitted, uploaded, or stored by us. You can verify this: load the page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool keeps working.
If you activate a Pro subscription, your license key is sent to our payment provider's license API (Polar Software Inc.) when you activate and then periodically (about once a day) to confirm the subscription is still active. The key is stored in your browser's local storage. No file data ever accompanies these requests.
Purchases are processed by Polar as merchant of record. Your payment details go to Polar and their payment processors, never to us. See Polar's privacy policy for details.
Barecopy sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts.
